Julie Delose and Brittany Whitlock Awarded Campus Sustainability Grants Julie Delose and Brittany Whitlock were awarded Campus Sustainability Grants from the UGA Office of Sustainability. Julie was awarded $4,670 for “Why Can't We Be Sustainable Later? Examining the role of environmental attitudes on sustainable behaviors in the present and in the future.” Her project will be supervised by Michelle vanDellen, an Assistant Professor in the Behavioral and Brain Sciences Program. Antonio E. Puente Elected to APA President Antonio E. Puente, Professor of Psychology at the University of North Carolina Wilmington and UGA alum, has been elected for the Presidency of the American Psychological Association. After 35 years of leadership with the APA and other nation health organizations, Puente seeks to establish the APA as a leader in healthcare reform while holding true to its century long and rich history. Personality and Empathy Research Conducted by Dr. Brian Haas and Dr. Josh Miller Featured in UGA Today Research Dr. Brian Haas and Dr. Josh Miller was recently featured on the UGA Today website. Beryl Huang Alumni, Behavioral and Brain Sciences Program Clinical and Cognitive Neuroscience Laboratory I currently have two research interests: one, isolating impaired cognitive abilities in psychosis using behavioral batteries and EEG, and two, using a big-data approach to construct stable biomarker profiles for psychosis. Other than science, I like the outdoors, yoga, animals, fiction, and media.
Jordan Pierce Named Franklin Fellow The Franklin Foundation Committee would like to congratulate psychology graduate student Jordan Pierce, the most recently named Franklin Fellow. She joins the existing Fellows, Ana Bobilev and Amanda Rodrigue, who are serving their second years. Emily Mouilso Clinical Associate Professor, Clinic Director, Clinical Program Dr. Emily Mouilso completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She completed her graduate studies at the University of Georgia. Her predoctoral internship was completed at the Charleston Consortium, including work at the Ralph H Johnson Veterans Affairs Medical Center and the National Crime Victims Research and Treatment Center at the Medical University of South Carolina.
