Pre-registration to the Rescue: A Strong Weapon Against the Replication Crisis Friday, June 14 2019, 2pm Athens Research Talk Donald R. Lynam, Ph.D. Distinguished Professor of Psychological Sciences University of Georgia Department of Psychology Dr. Lynam first reviews the major factors contributing to the replication crisis, including low power, questionable research practices, HARKing (hypothesizing after results are known), and publication biases. Next, he reviews the various flavors of preregistration. Finally, he discusses how the various types of pre-registration address different factors in the replication crisis.
